What is Gua Sha?
It’s seems to be all the rage these days in the skin care and holistic realm. The first time I used a gua sha stone, I’m pretty sure my tension just completely melted away and I felt like a brand new woman. I had been sleeping on this beauty and self-care routine for far too long.
This practice originated from Chinese medicine as a lymphatic drainage massage. Your lymphatic system is apart of your immune system in that is fights germs moving through out your body, filters out waste and moves it to your liver for detoxification, and other pathogens. So not only does using a gua sha stone help your skin, but it also builds a strong immune system. The stone helps eliminate and move the fluid away from the bags under your eyes, helps open up blood vessels for better circulation.
